Simonside Hills

Enjoy a circular walk up to the summit of Simonside. From the top of the hills, you have a beautiful 360-degree view that includes the Cheviot Hills and North Sea coastline.

Kielder

Kielder spans over 600 square kilometres of forest and 27 miles of shoreline. Kielder Water and Forest Park is ideal for walking and hiking and there are lots of trails to choose from. Whether you fancy a challenging hike or a leisurely stroll, the area is suitable for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users.

Northumberland National Park

Wide skies and dramatic views make walking in Northumberland National Park an inspiring experience. More than 600 miles of footpaths and bridleways to choose from and guided walks if you’re unsure about hiking and navigating.

Holy Island

Visitors usually stick to the castle paths, however, if you venture further, you’ll find stunning beaches to majestic dunes, roe deer and seals, fantastic bird-life and astonishing sunsets.

Alnwick

Morpeth

A little further afield in the market town of Morpeth, you can find traditional shops on cobbled streets, stylish high streets and modern shopping centres. Lidl, Morrisons and Marks & Spencer can all be found here.

Ponteland

A beautiful riverside setting with quaint, winding lanes, Ponteland makes a sophisticated getaway. Along with boutique shops and bustling bars, you’ll find Waitrose and Dobbies Food Hall and Garden Centre.
