Relax

From the comfortable Chesterfield sofa or velvet wing chairs in the living area, you can relax and watch the smart TV, stream online with Wi Fi or enjoy the amazing view through the large picture sliding doors – you will see nature in its abundance as well as fallow deer roaming freely and sometimes strolling past the garden.

Access to a range of walks and trails is right on the doorstep and there are many nearby attractions including Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Cragside House, Kielder Forest and the nearby market town of Rothbury, with shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes.

Sleep

There are 2 bedrooms located at either end of the cottage, each with king size zip link beds which can be made into 2ft 6” twin beds on request where you can sink into sweet dreams with comfy pocket sprung mattresses and high thread count cotton linen. You’ll wake refreshed, met with stunning views through picture windows and can take in the morning air with access onto the patio. Quirky hanging storage and plush textures complete the contemporary, homely interior.

Eat

A large open plan kitchen, dining and living area spans the centre of the cottage. The well-equipped kitchen is a delight to cook in, with a large island, induction hob and downdraft extractor fan, fan oven, combination microwave/oven, dishwasher, wine cooler, fridge freezer, coffee machine and more.

Bathe

Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with deep free-standing baths below a Velux roof window for a star-gazing experience like no other. Lie back and unwind in a luxurious bubble bath while admiring the wonder of England’s most pristine, Gold Tier, Dark Sky Park. Each bathroom also has a walk-in wet room with a rainfall shower and soft, fluffy towels to wrap yourself in. Locally made, deluxe toiletries are also provided.

Amenities

A utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board, makes laundry a breeze. There is an outside shower for dogs and boot cleaning too, so you can enjoy long walks whatever the weather without worrying about muddy paws and wellies. A welly rack outside the rear door is where you can leave your boots to dry. Off-road parking is provided for up to 3 cars and the property also has a private water supply.

History

Beeswing Lodge has a long and delightful history. Owned and run by the Carruthers family, some of whom still live on or near the Billsmoor Park area, the lodge was previously a hayshed, and was converted into a holiday cottage in 1993.
